Week 5

This week will focus on wrapping up the Unit.

Yoga Class

On the first day of the last week of the Unit students will take a Yoga class. Students will take this class to learn another form of exercise, and to learn stress-reducing and relaxation techniques. Students should write a reflection in their journals describing their experience in the yoga class.  They should also note if they felt like it was exercise and if it made them feel more relaxed, and why.

Body Image Video

Today students will watch a video on the importance of having a positive view of your body. After watching the video, students will write on post-it notes five things they like about themselves and post it on a large sheet of paper along with their classmates. The teacher will post the positive notes on a wall in the class.

Turn in Final Projects and Performance

On the last day of the Unit students will turn in their final projects. Then students will perform the "Move Your Body" dance in front of the school.
